Solar Installation

Interested in adding solar power to your home or business? Here are some steps you'll need to take before work can begin:

Complete the building permit application and submit to inspections@chaskamn.gov
- Building permit application submittal requirements:
  - Completed building permit application
  - PDF set of building plans
    - Roof array layout, flashing detail and structural connections stamped by an engineer
Complete the electrical permit application with the State of Minnesota
Submit the Interconnection Agreement and Interconnection Application to the City of Chaska Electric Department
Once the Electric Department receives approval from their electrical engineers, they will will make sure the Interconnection Agreement is signed by both parties and send the completed agreement to the Inspections Department. Once the Inspection Department receives the executed agreement, the invoice for the building permit will be sent out to the applicant.
